DonorClerk
Early accessStarting with Little Green Light

Give your AI your donor database.

Ask ChatGPT or Claude about your donors in plain English. Hand it the cheques and payment exports, and it gets the gifts, duplicate flags and thank-you notes ready for you. Nothing changes in your database until you approve.

How it works

Connect, ask, approve.

DonorClerk sits between your AI assistant and your donor database, and every change waits for a person.

  1. 1

    Connect

Add DonorClerk to ChatGPT or Claude, then connect your donor database on our site. Your API key never goes into the chat.

  2. 2

    Ask

Ask about your donors in plain English, or hand over a cheque list or payment export to enter.

  3. 3

    Approve

Every change shows up as a card first. A staff member approves, edits or skips it. Only then is it saved.

Features

The admin work, ready for your review.

Built for the person who types the gifts in, writes the thank-yous and keeps the database clean.

Plain-English reports

“Who gave last year but not this year?” “Totals by fund for Q3?” Answers come straight from your database, with no report builder.

Gift entry with approval cards

Paste a cheque list or a Stripe, PayPal or Givebutter export. DonorClerk matches each gift to a donor, suggests the fund and appeal from past giving, and waits for your OK.

Duplicate flags

Likely duplicate donors are flagged with the reason and a link to your database’s own merge screen. DonorClerk never merges anything itself.

Thank-you drafts

Personal thank-you drafts based on each donor’s history, saved as notes on the donor record after you approve. Nothing is emailed to donors.

Approval-first

Your donors’ data, handled carefully.

Donor records are personal information. DonorClerk is designed so that a person approves every change, and so that we hold as little as possible.

Read the privacy policy
  • Nothing changes without a yes

Reads are instant. Every write (a gift, a field fix, a note) is shown as an approval card, and is saved only after a staff member approves it.

  • We don’t keep donor records

DonorClerk reads from and writes to your database through its official API. We don’t keep a copy of your donor list.

  • Your key stays out of chat

You connect your database on our site, not in the conversation. Keys are encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time.

  • Short-lived, then gone

Pending approval cards expire. Disconnecting removes your key and pending changes. We keep a small audit log of approved changes (which record, what amount, who approved) so you can check what happened.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Can I use DonorClerk today?

Not yet. We’re opening early access for Little Green Light first. Join the list and we’ll invite organizations in order, starting with a few who are happy to give us feedback.

Can the AI change our database without asking?

No. Every write is shown as an approval card first, and nothing is saved until a staff member approves it. Reading and reporting don’t change anything.

Does DonorClerk store our donor data?

We don’t keep a copy of your donor records. We store your encrypted database key, pending approval cards until they’re decided or expire, and a small audit log of approved changes. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Who does the AI processing?

The AI assistant you use (ChatGPT or Claude) reads the questions and answers in your conversation, under your own account and that provider’s terms. DonorClerk supplies the data from your database and applies the changes you approve.

Will it merge duplicates or email donors?

No. Duplicates are flagged with a link to your database’s merge screen, and thank-yous are drafts saved as notes. You stay in control of merges and anything sent to donors.

Which donor databases do you support?

Little Green Light is first. Neon CRM, Bloomerang and WildApricot are planned. Tell us which one you use when you join early access.

Are you affiliated with Little Green Light or the other databases?

No. DonorClerk is an independent product that uses each database’s official API. It is not made or endorsed by those companies.

What will it cost?

The prices on this page are a draft for early access: a free tier and a Pro plan of about $29 a month per organization. Early-access members will hear about final pricing before anything is charged.
